RDL is a range designed to offer excellent efficiency together with good weather resistance and are all sufficiently robust to withstand considerable vandalism. RDL is therefore likely to be unique in what it is able to offer the designer and end user.
General specification for the range: The downlighters in the RDL range have high frequency electronic control gear mounted onto back tray. The back tray is manufactured in zinc coated steel finished in white polyester powder.
High efficiency reflector is vacuum metalised on an aluminium substrate. This produces maximum efficiency and zero iridescence. Since vacuum metalised surface is bonded to the aluminium there is no chance of cracking or crazing.
A cast aluminium trim ring is supplied with stainless steel screws and an EPDM "O" ring gasket. Into this ring a series of polycarbonate or tempered glass diffusers are sealed to an IP55 rating from below.
Emergency versions are offered with remote mounting boxes except the fully sealed version, FSRDL, where an additional back spinning can be provided if preferred.
Mounting brackets provided for ceilings from 3mm to 50mm.
The RDL range is considerably more efficient than a typical IP rated fresnel lensed compact fluorescent downlighter and also offers excellent vandal resistance.
The fully sealed version, FSRDL is IP55 rated from below & above.
