Serious Energy Savings in Rochester
Kent based housing association mhs homes is helping to reduce its impact on climate change by using energy saving technologies. As part of the landlord's commitment to energy efficiency they have recently installed new external LED lighting at one of their 21 sheltered schemes, John Cooper House in Rochester in order to shrink mhs homes' carbon footprint.
The new light fittings were purchased via Designplan lighting and installed by mhs commercial services. Steve Burt, Mechanical & Electrical Surveyor at mhs homes said "These LED fittings use only a third of the energy of standard units, and are expected to last 100,000 hours compared to 15,000. This will produce a considerable cost saving in ongoing maintenance and really help in our environmental efforts."
