The City South Housing Trust is a Manchester based charitable housing association that manages and improves homes in the area. City South’s housing stock underwent an extensive strategic regeneration in order to ensure that the housing is sustainable and energy efficient. The aim was to reduce residents bills by up to 25%.
For the regeneration project, several different products were used from the Designplan range – Clarion, Torino, Quadrant and Pantheon. The Quadrant is one of Designplan’s most versatile fittings – available in a wide variety of designs including the Miniquad, Quadrangle, Quadriga amongst others, all with a variety of lamps, finishes and emergency options. Designplan products were chosen for use in the entrance, lift lobby and stairs, external balconies and the refuse areas. All fittings selected are hard wearing and highly energy efficient.
Ken Keyworth from City South Housing Trust said “We are overjoyed with the results and have recommended Designplan to other housing trusts in the area, as we believe they too would benefit from their great range of energy efficient products, and their excellent service.”
As a result of this successful project, Designplan has been specified for the third phase of City South’s regeneration scheme.
