We are delighted to announce Steve Tilling is our new Sales Director.
Steve has worked in the manufacturing, design and delivery of lighting solutions for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience in various sectors of the industry. Steve has managed the lighting element of major projects including large scale custodial, infrastructure and commercial office programmes including various landmark installations such as Crossrail, Heathrow Terminal 5 and Wembley Stadium.
We had a quick chat with Steve about his time at Designplan and what he is most looking forward to with this new role.
‘I joined Designplan Lighting in 2015 and progressed to National Sales Manager for our custodial sector, bridging the link between our client in the MoJ, designers, project deliverers and ongoing FM maintenance providers.’
‘I’m really looking forward to managing the whole sales team in the UK and continuing to expand the Designplan brand in all of our sectors. I couldn’t be more proud to lead the sales team at Designplan, a UK based manufacturer since 1963. For 57 years we have designed robust, durable and efficient lighting solutions, engineered to withstand the most challenging of conditions. I think of our sales team as more “expert consultants in our sectors” and are incredibly client focused on delivering the most appropriate solution to the sectors we excel in.’
What challenges are you looking forward to tackling as 2020 comes to an end?
‘The COVID-19 pandemic has been a unique challenge this year, but I’m looking forward to working on how we come out the other end and head toward 2021 stronger than ever. We’re open, working and here for our customers and I’m eager to speak to clients about their upcoming projects.’
