Designplan were appointed to provide lighting to the refurbishment of Britain’s first purpose built cycling tunnel which was first opened in 1951. The tunnel runs under the River Tyne between Haydon and Jarrow. Our Mission LED luminaire was chosen due to its robust construction, excellent lighting uniformity, low energy use and easy maintenance
