At Designplan, we pride ourselves on supporting career growth and nurturing talent from within. One of the best examples of career progression at Designplan is Jeffry Magboo, whose journey from the assembly floor to IT shows how curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for learning can shape an inspiring career path.
Building the Foundation – Assembly Operative (2019)
Jeffry joined Designplan in 2019 as an Assembly Operative. In this hands-on role, he learned how our products are built and gained a deep understanding of the sectors we serve. This early experience laid a strong foundation for how he approaches tasks and problem-solving across all future roles.
Expanding Skills – Resource Planner (2021)
In October 2021, Jeffry transitioned to Purchasing & Planning as a Resource Planner. Leveraging his digital skills, he supported the team by managing stock levels and raising purchase orders to meet demand. His adaptability and proactive approach quickly made an impact.
A Hybrid Role – Systems Engineer (2023)
By June 2023, Jeffry’s career progression at Designplan meant he stepped into a hybrid Systems Engineer role, splitting his time between Purchasing & Planning and IT. He became a superuser of our ERP system and began building Power BI reports—showing a clear talent for data and systems work.
Pursuing His Passion – Systems Engineer in IT (2025–Present)
In February 2025, Jeffry moved fully into IT as a Systems Engineer. His current focus includes data modeling for Power BI and automating business processes using Syteline’s Application Event System and Power Automate. He plays a key role in our Digital Designplan project, helping to streamline operations and bring innovation to life.
Looking Ahead
IT has always been a passion for Jeffry, and now in a role that aligns with his interests and strengths, he’s committed to supporting the business with skill, enthusiasm, and a forward-thinking mindset.
