Copenhagen Cityringen was the first phase of the new metro system in Copenhagen in Denmark. The initial order for Designplan was to supply over 20 types of bespoke luminaires to 19 stations. With the total number of luminaires that was supplied exceeded 5000.
The luminaires were installed in various areas of each station providing wayfinding, platform edge lighting, as well as façade accent lighting. Designplan was specified due to every luminaire being glass fronted, yet vandal resistant. Along with no visible fixings due to them being fully recessed with a rear fixing.
In addition we have supplied two more stations for the Metro extensions of the Cityringen, the Blue Line.
