The Highlight Leisure Centre is a flagship £34.6m regeneration project on the Hartlepool Waterfront. To support this state-of-the-art wellbeing hub, Designplan Lighting collaborated with specifier Desco and main contractor Wates to provide a robust, high-performance architectural lighting solution.
The Specification: Stromma Luminaire
We supplied our Stromma, vandal resistant Luminaire in a continuous run to create seamless lines of light on the outside of the facility.
- Efficiency: The IP65-rated units provide high-output illumination perfect for a multi-zone leisure environment.
- Sustainability: Featuring a removable gear tray, the Stromma allows for easy maintenance and future LED upgrades without replacing the housing.
- Robustness: With an IK14 (100 Joules) impact rating, it is engineered to withstand deliberate damage.
By working closely with Desco during the design phase and Wates during construction, we ensured the Stromma installation met all safety, durability, and energy-efficiency standards.
