Hudson House Car Park is for resident and business permit holders. The condition of this car park had become a concern to Epsom & Ewell Borough Council as it was subjected to high levels of vandalism. Therefore, Designplan were specified to provide robust luminaires.
To ensure the safety of the users, improvements were required to the car park’s infrastructure. Designplan were appointed to replace the lighting in the Hudson House car park and the walkways with robust reliable alternatives.
The Parkalux and Quadrant luminaires were the ideal choices because they are very tough and capable of resisting up to 100 joules of energy. As a result, by upgrading to LED throughout the car park, the energy consumption was reduced by up to 50%. Above all, the overall result is a safer well illuminated environment for both drivers and pedestrians.
