The Challenge
Alverstone House is a four-storey residential building in Lambeth comprising 55 occupied flats. As part of Hyde Housing’s planned improvement programme, the communal lighting system required upgrading to improve safety, reduce maintenance requirements and lower energy consumption.
Designplan Lighting supplied a robust LED lighting solution designed specifically for social housing environments, combining energy-efficient illumination with vandal-resistant construction and intelligent emergency lighting monitoring
The Solution
Designplan supplied and supported the installation of 324 LED emergency luminaires, each providing three hours of emergency operation.
The new lighting scheme combined energy-efficient LED technology with wireless emergency lighting monitoring, helping deliver reliable illumination while simplifying ongoing maintenance and testing.
Designed for demanding communal environments, the solution provides long-term performance and durability while supporting the day-to-day needs of both residents and building managers.
