Our Circular Economy Warranty

We offer a unique warranty designed to support a circular economy approach and maximise the service life of your lighting installation.

10-Year Warranty on Luminaire Bodies and Diffusers

All luminaires come with a 10-year warranty covering the body and diffuser.

5-Year Warranty on Gear Trays and Batteries

Gear trays, including batteries, are covered by a 5-year warranty. Gear tray life is dependent on application and location, which can affect the operating temperature of the product and, in turn, the life of the LEDs. Designplan uses only the highest-quality components, and our gear trays often last 10 years or more.

Designed for Long-Term Performance

All of our products are designed to last a minimum of 30 years in the field. At the customer’s request, we can survey your installation and, where suitable, offer replacement gear trays. This is not normally necessary until after 10 years.

Renewable Warranty Approach

Following installation of approved replacement gear trays, the warranty on the luminaire body and diffuser can also be renewed in accordance with our warranty terms.

This means that over a 30-year period, the gear tray may be updated once or twice within the same housing, helping to extend the life of the luminaire and support a more sustainable approach.

We have a large installed base across the UK and beyond, and many installations are over 50 years old and still going strong. This gives us the confidence to offer this unique warranty and our customers the confidence to rely upon us for decades, not years.
