We have been manufacturing robust luminaires in the UK, the London Borough of Sutton to be exact, since 1963. Since 2014 we have been operating in a BREEAM excellent rated facility.
Design
We have developed a tried and tested approach to product design. 60 years ago we pioneered luminaires which incorporate a removable metal tray containing all the internal lighting componentry. This long-term commitment to circular product design has enabled us to produce long lasting, repairable and upgradable products with 30 year + life spans. Despite our broad range of products for sector specific and general applications, there are still some projects where our standard luminaires do not quite provide the desired solution. Product Testing
Product testing is a vital element in the design of our luminaires. All concept designs, and existing products, are tested in our in-house laboratory. For more information on bespoke design CLICK HERE
Manufacturing
Our production processes utilise advanced robotic and automated machines together with highly skilled operators. After forming, luminaire bodies flow into our paint plant to apply the finishes which will protect them from the harsh environments they will operate in.
The remaining stages of our manufacturing cycle are assembly, testing and despatch. Our manufacturing workflow uses LEAN methodology to reduce waste in time and materials and help us continually improve our products.
